Talking Therapies Clarity Wellbeing Clinic Nuneaton CV10 0AL

SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
IN NUNEATON

If you are aged 13 to 17 years, or younger, and experiencing problems with your parent or guardian, or issues at school, our team of qualified counsellors and psychotherapists can help you.  Whilst you may feel lonely you are not alone!

It’s an opportunity for you to explore many aspects of your life, feelings and behaviours.  You can feel free to do this in a different way than you may often experience with friends or family members.  We encourage you, at your own pace, to explore any issues that are causing you distress or discomfort and to find a way to move forward. Of course, what we discuss is fully confidential.  We won’t discuss your difficulties with anyone, but you’re free to talk to whomever you chose.

SUPPORTING YOU WITH:

Anxiety  |  Depression  |  Relationships  |  Anger Management  |  Low self-esteem  |  Bereavement  |  Sexual Issues  |  Gender identity  |  Family conflict  |  Parent divorce  |  Issues with Parents  |  Sexuality  |  Suicidal thoughts

CONFIDENTIALITY

We understand that confidentiality is important to you.  So we work from a concept known as Gillick Competency.  Gillick Competency protects the rights and privacy of young people seeking counselling.

A young person aged 16 or over, or a young person under 16 who has the capacity to understand and make their own decisions, would be considered Gillick Competent. Gillick Competency status gives the young person certain rights to make decisions and be granted confidentiality without parent consent.  We encourage positive communication with parents and make every effort to ensure difficult family/home life is not made worse by insisting on a young persons rights.  A parent or guardian is asked to sign a consent and Gillick Competency form before counselling begins.

WHO PAYS?

We provide therapy in clinic, therefore the sessions are chargeable.  You can ask a parent or guardian if they can pay the fee.  There may also be concessions for low income families, however we regret that these may be limited.
