ABOUT MARIA

Hi, I’m Maria, thank you for stopping by to read my profile.

I am a qualified Counsellor, working with adults in the Nuneaton and Coventry area, with experience of working with a wide range of issues including trauma, addiction, abuse, depression, anxiety, loss and relationship difficulties.

I can offer you a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings while I sit alongside you in your journey of self-exploration. In this hectic world we rarely get the opportunity to give ourselves time out to explore how we are feeling and are often taken over by demands and pressures from the world around us.

My approach is to work with you to understand your true self, your needs, your desires and overcome any barriers in your way. For me talking therapy enables us to process our thoughts and feelings, make sense of them and come to a deeper understanding and acceptance of ourselves. In accepting ourselves and our feelings I believe we are then able to make changes to enhance our lives.

I offer Person-Centred therapy which puts you, the client, at the centre, you are the expert and I will be led by you. You have the resources and the power within you to fulfil your potential.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am committed to working within the Ethical Framework which provides guidelines on practising in an ethical and safe way www.bacp.co.uk
