Wendy Tarr
Counsellor & Psychotherapist · BACP Registered
If you are struggling with anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and distressed, or have become lost in your current situation, Wendy wants you to know you can reach out for help and support. She has worked with many people living with anxiety and trauma arising from all kinds of life circumstances, and is passionate about helping you connect, rebalance and release what no longer serves you, in a way that feels safe and supportive.
Wendy is a BACP-registered counsellor with extensive experience. She holds a service award for her work in bereavement support, has worked for the mental health charity MIND, supported people through complex grief at a local hospice, and more recently provided counselling within an NHS surgery for patients and the wider community. She has also completed advanced training in Somatic Trauma Therapy for post-traumatic stress (PTSD).
She is committed to recognising your unique circumstances and experiences, offering you time, space and support at every step. In a confidential setting you will be listened to and understood, perhaps for the first time. As your counselling progresses you can begin to develop new perspectives and greater insight, helping you feel more in control and altogether calmer, all at your own pace.
