Lisa is a BACP accredited psychodynamic counsellor and therapist with over 26 years of experience. She offers a warm, open-minded, confidential space for reflection, understanding and change, supporting individuals, couples and young people.
At times, life can feel overwhelming or stuck, and it can be hard to see a way forward. By feeling heard and acknowledged, we can start to overcome challenges at a pace that feels realistic and achievable. Lisa takes the time to understand you as a person, listens to your story, and explores your hopes and fears. She is not there to tell you how to live your life. Instead, you work together to build self-awareness and find healthier ways of coping.
Life experiences, trauma, and family messages and beliefs can shape our lives in ways that no longer serve us. Lisa supports you in making sense of unhelpful patterns and provides you with an emotional tool bag so you can move toward the life you want. She has particular experience in the field of domestic abuse, and believes therapy is a process designed to help you break negative thought and behaviour patterns and gain new, safer perspectives.
Since qualifying in 2000, Lisa has gained experience across Relate, primary and secondary schools, the NHS, EAP work and private practice. She offers in-person, online and telephone counselling, with daytime and evening appointments available.
No GP referral needed. No waiting list. £50 per session in person, £40 online or by phone.
