Gill Goodship

Counsellor & Psychotherapist · MBACP (Accred) · she/her

Gill is an accredited person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist (MBACP Accred.) with many years of experience supporting adults through emotional, relational and psychological difficulties. If something doesn't feel right just now, perhaps thoughts and feelings that keep looping and won't leave you be, Gill offers the time and space to work out what is best for you.

Many people feel emotionally stuck in recurring thoughts, relationship patterns, anxiety or low mood without fully understanding why. Gill sees therapy as a space to slow down, reflect, and gently uncover the emotional roots of what you are experiencing. She often works longer term, exploring both past and present relationships and experiences, finding where difficult patterns and triggers began, and helping you take the power out of thoughts that hold you back.

Her approach is warm, relational and collaborative. You are offered a completely confidential, non-judgemental space to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, behaviours and past experiences, to feel more at ease with yourself, and to find a healthier balance between family, work and self-care.

Gill has had the privilege of working with adult clients across a wide range of ages, sexualities, backgrounds and cultures. She is a registered, accredited member of the BACP, works within their Ethical Framework, has regular professional supervision, and keeps her skills current through ongoing CPD.
