ABOUT KARIS

Karis is an experienced and qualified counsellor rooted within the person-centred approach but able to comfortably integrate CBT practice and mindfulness where appropriate.

She is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, has a certificate of proficiency and attends regular CPD training.

Karis has a range of experience and has worked in specialist areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, bullying, anger and LGBTQ issues. Karis is most experienced in working with domestic abuse in all its forms, emotional, psychological, physical, financial, sexual and gaslighting.

Karis understands that sometimes we can not register within ourselves why we may feel a certain way, we may feel stressed, unhappy or frustrated but not really know why. We may struggle, we may procrastinate, but we are left wondering what is the route to these issues? Counselling can be a fantastic way to open ourselves up to the possibility of moving forwards and making changes, at a pace we feel comfortable with.

Karis has worked with a wide range of people from all walks of life and works uniquely with everyone, believing the most important gift we can give another is to truly listen and to truly want to understand.
